How was your weekend last week? As you can see from the title, I had a blast all thanks to Haha & Skull! If you don’t know, both of them were here in Singapore for their first fan meet last weekend. I secretly love how these Korean artists are dropping by Singapore more often for their promotion activities! I still remember how hard it was to get them to visit Singapore back when I was 15, 7 years ago……
Glad that times have changed!!! I waited for 6 years before I managed to catch Big Bang’s full concert here in Singapore! Now that Lee Kwang Soo, Lee Seung Gi, Running Man Cast, Big Bang (again!!) are visiting in the next 2 months, it’s gonna be pretty exciting!
Back to last week, I attended both the press conference and showcase because of work. And one word to describe it? FUN. TOO MUCH FUN. That includes the press conference as well. I’m not gonna bored you with the questions thrown by the reporters because you can find them at TheFifthParlour and many other entertainment sites!
Highlight of the night?
1. Skull asking for my mobile number. He was joking obviously but I was soooo embarrassed at that point of time! I actually asked him about his ideal type and he threw the question back to me by replying “it’s someone like you” and after which, he asked for my mobile number (!!!). Not that I’m being shameless here but I didn’t expect that answer since Koreans are more conservative! >_<
2. A solo picture with Haha! This was a really really lucky attempt. After the interview and fan signing, I went nearer the stage to get some more pictures. Shortly, Haha came right in front of me and we just waved at each other. So I got him to posed for my camera and I thought, why not a picture together? The stupid me did not even greet Haha properly and I merely said “Haha, a picture please?” *face palm*. Yes I was a little rude so, forgive me maybe? T_T
Oh look at those dark eye circles.. BUT WHATEVER REALLY! It was still a good shot! :D
The fan meet was held at Zouk the next day and to be honest, the crowd was pretty tame! The emcee took the chance to introduce DJ IT after the crowd settled down. He was spinning a few dubstep remix that night and I really loved it!
One thing I love about this fan meet? It started on time!!! Punctuality is definitely something many artists needs to keep up with because it’s never good to keep your fans waiting for too long!
The whole show was filled with lots and lots of energy.. Almost unlimited. I couldn’t find anymore good words to describe the show but one thing is that I could really feel how passionate, sincere and appreciative Skull and Haha were. Although the stage was small and it was more of reggae music rather than K-pop, but it was probably one of the best show I have ever been!
They even went to the extent of preparing gifts for their fans! Fan service were 대박(!!!) too since they tried saying more than just “Hi” to the lucky fans who went up on stage!
And I can’t believe how lucky my friend and I were again. Yup! We were one of the few lucky one who caught the gifts that Haha threw! See the shirt that both Skull and Haha are wearing above? I have decided to do a giveaway in my next post! It’s gonna to be simple one so do watch out for it alright! :)
I think I used up all my luck last weekend so I am crossing my fingers for my Spring’14 exchange results! To be honest, am feeling kinda excited and indifferent at the same time. Because if plans don’t work out this time, I know I will be doing something I’m more passionate about! But I can’t make up my mind yet so let’s just keep the faith!
On a random note, I’ve also created a ask.fm account! You can ask me anything @ http://ask.fm/girlinsorea :D
